Got these in Blush and they are absolutely amazing. 100% comfortable right out of the box. The quality is unbelievable - they are actually worth the investment. The price is not just for a brand name it’s for superior craftsmanship. They’re definitely funky and not necessarily everyone’s vibe but if you find yourself coming back to these I’m telling you you won’t be disappointed. I’m an 8 in most sandals/heels and an 8.5 in sneakers, 39 in birks, and I got the 39 and they fit perfectly. Didn’t even realize they were Velcro which is even better bc they’re so easy to put on. Currently day 2 of having them and I sped walked and biked in them on my commute and they’re more comfortable than my sneakers. No arch pain. no shin pain. No pinching. They look amazing with everything - dressed up or down. I’m a convert. I’ve officially joined the Labucq cult. Will probably be buying the boots I’ve been eyeing this winter!

I've been admittedly skeptical of the chunky shoe look (that's the millennial in me) but was looking for something that could be both comfortable and stylish (that's the mom-of-3 in me) for at least a couple of years, given the price tag. After a mild break-in period I am smitten. Am I nuts or do my legs look miles long?? Love that these make me feel simultaneously (peripherally) cool and completely no-nonsense. Well done Labucq!

However, the leather is quite stiff and one day I made the mistake of stepping on the back strap. That caused a split in the leather that shocked me and has persisted despite attempts to fix it. For shoes in this price range, I'd expect a bit more durability and am very disappointed to have to deal with this Otherwise, love them and get compliments every time worn.

A trip to Spain gave me a reason to pull the trigger and I’m thrilled that I did. They are so comfortable, easy walking for miles, and look great. They’re as comfortable as sneakers. And unlike other sandals they give you a little buffer between your feet and the pavement, especially important in the city. Followed the advice of another reviewer and wore them for two days around the house with socks on, followed by one day with no socks to break them in. If you’re thinking about buying them do it!

My only complaint is the Velcro closure. Even on sale they are not cheap so why are they held on with Velcro straps like an inexpensive sandal purchased at Target? I would prefer actual buckles for the price because sometimes the Velcro lets go.

However, the velcro tabs on the side and back straps make this shoe fully wearable for narrow feet! I wore them with no pain and pure comfort on the first day. I wish they weren’t so expensive or I would get more colors! Got my usual size 38 and they are definitely keepers!

I had to return for a larger size, but the process was straightforward and fast. I absolutely love my black Boomer. During the first week of having them, I have walked many miles without rubs or blisters--even five on the second day! I'm sure I will be wearing them all Summer. Thanks for making amazing shoes!

I have issues with bunions but these are wide enough to cause me no pain. the tan color is a great summer neutral and someone commented that the tri-colored soles looked cool. discounts and special offers will make this brand more super dangerous to me (hint, hint). I would not usually spend this much on a sandal but I'm glad I did!

Bought the sandal in blush leather for an overseas trip to a country with hot weather. I wear a US size 8 and ordered the sandal in 39. It was a good fit if a little roomy. My feet have medium (tending to high) arches and are medium (tending to narrow) width. I returned the sandals for the following reasons: 1) the center leather piece on the top/front of the sandal rubbed against my toes when I walked. Maybe over time the leather would soften but I didn't want to risk blisters while walking all day every day on vacation. 2) No arch support. My dream was a beautiful sandal that could also provide good footbed support for 15,000+ steps a day. Teva sandals are great: comfortable, rugged, and excellent arch support but the placement of the strap across the front/top of the foot is ugly (toe cleavage, etc). The footbed is comfortable and the sandals are beautiful and would be great for local, casual activities. If you are looking for the unicorn of sandals: attractive, stylish + arch support that can go 15K+ steps without creating blisters, not sure this is it, and the expense made the experiment too costly to attempt.

Customer service was amazing, issued me a new pair within minutes, and I’m happy to report that I absolutely love these sandals. They are, as others have said, super comfy and supportive. One huge bonus for me as a traveller, is that they are light! Bulky yes, but really light, both to wear, and to pack. True to size, adjustable with the straps, and they really do go with just about anything. I have had many compliments as well.

I’m taking off 2 stars because for a shoe this expensive and hyped as super comfortable why did I get blisters on two separate occasions in the last month in two different spots: toe and inside side of foot near ankle? The leather is stiff but I thought I had broken it in since I wore it a fair amount. It’s really bizarre that after all this time (a year!) I’m getting blisters. It feels like the hard stiff leather rubbed and chafed my skin. Beware of the hype surrounding this extravagantly priced slickly marketed sandal! Not sure it was worth almost $500.

Couple of areas rubbed just a tiny bit. Couple of days later I ended up playing pickle ball for over 2 hours in the sandals. No issues whatsoever, very comfortable. The tan sandals are a tiny bit heavier than the silver ones, about 2 ounces, and the leather is slightly thicker, I think. Would love to see a dark blue version of the Boomer. Excellent customer service. I am an average size 9.5 and size 40 fits perfectly.

I have been eyeing the Boomer style for at least one year and had convinced myself that they weren't for me. But I caved and got a pair. I AM SO GLAD I DID! I now have two pairs. They are comfortable and super stylish. They go with so many different styles of clothes and will accompany me on a long European trip this summer. I wish I hadn't waited so long.

Looking at them, you think, "No, these can't possibly look good or feel comfortable. I'll be able to walk across the room, but not across town." Except you'd think wrong These are fantastic—flattering, comfortable, compliment-inspiring. If I had a dime for every "I love your shoes!" I’ve received the short time I’ve been wearing them, I wouldn’t be rich, but I would be able to buy a spendy lunch. Comfortable and versatile, they work with just about everything—every length and width of pant, skirts, dresses. If I had occasion to wear a ballgown, I bet they'd look great with that, too. As someone who once thought that any shoe not a 4” heel Louboutin was either deeply uncool or unfortunately necessary, color me converted.

As someone who rarely wears sandals bc I want to be able to “take a walk” at a moments notice I was intrigued by how supportive, sturdy, and comfortable these looked. They did not disappoint. They are definitely walkable. I think they match with just about everything and are easy to dress up or down. Bonus when you open the box they even smell like an expensive shoe. 10/10 will purchase again. I usually wear a 40 in European sizes (9.5 in US tennis shoes) and the 40s were a perfect fit.

The leather is stiff so trying to figure out how to make it more pliable. A little tough on the skin so may use some moleskin where it rubs. The sole is stiff so it does not bend at the ball of your foot like most shoes.

So yeah, I have an organically narrow foot and these babies make my foot look huge. Also whatever you read about them not needing a “break-in” period is false. Blisters out the wazoo. They also fucking squeek a shitload with every step. I’m really not sure how or why every review is so resoundingly positive, cause they’re not that great and certainly not worth nearly five hundred fucking dollars. But sure, buy them anyway.

As someone with a high arch, the strap over top of foot is not long enough, so they are always tight and velcro is always showing, meanwhile strap on back of foot has too much length.

I struggle to find something that doesn't start to cause pain over the course of the day, and these hit the mark. I work events and do up to 17 hours on my feet, walking extensively. These held up for an entire event and I got so many compliments over the course of the day. My only real struggle is the price, as I want them in every color. The quality is there, though, so if you're willing to invest, they're worth it.

But I have to say I am truly satisfied with my purchase. I am normally a pretty solid 6.5/36.5 and the size 37 is perfect. I wore them in the house for an hour about 3 or 4 times before taking them out for longer walks and that helped to break them in. This past weekend I walked 4 miles straight and was comfortable the entire time with zero issues. I feel like these will take me from early spring all the was through fall, and they are the perfect color for a variety of outfits. If you're considering them I would go for it!

They do look a bit clunky on my small feet because of the flared sole (5M). They will need some breaking in to soften and mold to my feet.

2023-07-17	Boomer Variant: Boomer Sport	Beauty is pain Tianrongzi Luan	I thought about these shoes for 3 months before ordering them in the silver colorway. During these 3 months, I looked and looked with many shoe brands. It is extremely hard to pick out a versatile sandal. What made me finally buy them was that this is a style that would go with my casual work clothes and my every day clothes. There is truly not another style of sandal out there that would go better with my minimal, modern, wardrobe while looking like a shoe that I could walk the distance in. They LOOK perfect, truly. However, the comfort is not there for a $400+ pair of shoes. I've seen comments from other customers and the employees themselves saying that the "hard leather will soften after a few wears". The part that hurts feet is not the hard overall structure of the leather, it is the raw edges of the leather. It would take ages and much wounds for the delicate skin to "soften" this part. I had to use a nail file to smooth the underside of the leather to keep the edges from scratching my skin (which worked amazingly). Additionally, the sole is hard and there are a couple spots where I can see a little bit of glue residue come out of the sole. Imperfect craftmanship, but not a big deal. It's just that...one should not have to become a cobbler to make $400+ shoes wearable. My mom's $400+ sandals from Vince was a lot more comfortable. However, I just love this Boomer shoe design. I had to keep these shoes because again, they LOOK absolutely perfect. I'm normally a size 7 or 7.5, with narrow feet. The 38s were the right size for me.

I'm usually a 7.5 or 8, purchased the 38, and the length is perfect. The issue I have is with the finishing. For such an expensive and well-touted shoe, there should not be stitching that scratches the ankle. I can't believe that consideration wasn't made for wearability in terms of construction, not at this price point. I've taken to covering my ankles with foot tape, and I'm keeping the sandals cuz I'm a sucker for cuteness. However, this isn't a break in issue, and I'd feel much better about my purchase if there were no such QA issues.

They are absolutely adorable, I’ve worn them almost every day since I got them. Comfortable and cute. I'm usually a 6-6.5 and I followed the recommendation to size up if in between sizes and got a 7, and they are perfect! I also agree with everyone that says they are super lightweight which makes it a great walking sandals too. at first I thought they were a bit pricey, but they will be definitely justified by how much wear I'll get out of them.

They fit true to size (I’m typically a 6.5 and purchased the 37) and required no breaking in. The fashion-forward fisherman sandal style can be dressed up or down—with the chillier temperatures, I’ve started styling mine with socks. I love how the sky blue straps are juxtaposed with the speckled sole for a hit of modernity and street-chic appeal. All in all, I love my Boomers and look forward to investing in more LABUCQ styles in the future.

The quality is definitely appropriate for the price, with luxurious materials and nice workmanship. There are plenty of little details that make this a really standout take on a classic pattern. They are also lightweight and the sole feels comfortable. Unfortunately, after ordering two different sizes, I’ll be returning these for fit reasons. The fit seems pretty true-to-size, and if your feet are on the narrower side, these will probably work for you. I have small but slightly wide feet, and even after ordering up a size, the volume at the ball of the shoe is far too exact for my foot to enter the shoe completely. With so many straps thick leather, and no way to adjust, it’s very unforgiving for wider feet. The forefoot pattern also has a lot of coverage, so only one of my toes end up showing at the front and it just looked weird. If these are ever offered in a wide fit, I would reorder in a heartbeat.

The front straps were a little tight around the front of my foot (I have wide feet). They also felt heavy to me.

I’m a size 9 normally and got a size 40 and they fit perfectly. It’s nice they have the adjustable straps too to adjust the fit around your foot/heel. They came in a beautiful box with dust bag, care instructions, and I was kept up to date on shipping throughout. Just really great quality shoes and so unique and cool. I’m in love!

My toes have enough room and aren't hanging off of the edge and my heel sits squarely on the sole. They have such a flattering look to them and are comfortable to walk in. There will be a short break in period with the leather as it sort of rubs against the tops of my toes, but with wear the leather will soften. These sandals are beautifully made and I look forward to wearing them quite a bit this summer! Buy these Boomers!

So I bit the bullet and went for the 39! Alas, they arrived and my foot looked so small in the 39’s. I snapped a photo and sent it in to the customer service email and they were super helpful and told me a 38 would fit perfectly! The return was smooth and easy and I got the right size quickly! They fit great now, and I’m so excited to wear them everyday this summer!

They are sporty and fun, but also interesting and stylish. I also liked the idea that you can choose to add a thin sock underneath without completely ruining the aesthetic. I emailed back and forth with Labucq to get sizing advice as well as to ask for the actual measurements for the shoe, because I am often between sizes. I knew that I could always return the shoes for a different size, but it was great to have them fit so well on the first try... The shoes are not inexpensive, but they are very well crafted and comfortable to wear right out of the box. I also really like the way the fit can be adjusted in two places with the straps. The Boomer sandals will look good with a lot of different kinds of clothes, but I already have my eye on a second pair of shoes from Labucq...

When I placed my order, I knew that there would be a delay in shipping because they were on backorder. However, the original ship date was pushed back. I was disappointed, but still okay. I finally received notification that my shoes were being shipped to me. I was excited. A week later, nothing. I reached out and was advised by Sophie that she would look into it. I followed up the next day because I had not heard back. She responded another day later with a new tracking number. I finally received the shoes a few days later. The shoes were as expected. They are comfortable and easy to wear. I walked the mall and the neighborhood in the shoes and so far so good. I really wanted to love these shoes because I planned on buying them in at least one other color. I am not a sneakerhead and figured this would be great for events where there is a lot of walking and standing for those of us who don't like athletic shoes. I my first experience was a fluke and that most customers have an amazing experience with Labucq. I am not completely soured, but I am looking with a side-eye.

They are super-lightweight which is essential with a chunky sandal. The quality is excellent. These are also flattering! The ever-so-slight wedge is leg lengthening. Added bonus, the customer service team was really helpful and informative with shipping updates, and when my shoes arrived they were so beautifully and carefully packaged. A real treat.

Feels like bouncing around on air to wear them. Top quality materials and construction like Labucq always delivers! As always the customer service was amazing - I noticed a lot of squeakiness in the leather when I walked in them, so I emailed customer service and Sophie was quick to reply with a recommendation for their favorite leather conditioner. I usually wear a size 9 US in closed toe shoes and boots, but often an 8.5 in sandals - got the 39 here and they are great, a 40 would have been very long for my foot I think.
