Beautiful boot Elizabeth |
These boots are timeless. They are well made, chic and I love them. I was on the fence about getting them because I am not tall and the reviews mentioned they do not work for shorties. I am not quite 5'4" and these hit below my knee. They are definitely taller boots, which I love, and I have had no problem bending my knee etc. because they come below my knee. My one issue is that I have very high arches and these are challenging to put on. However, once on they are extremely comfortable. I am hoping that they will loosen up so I can slide in easier. Without a zipper it is not easy if you have high arches. but the boot is worth it. The craftmanship is exceptional.

Love this boot; the style, the fit and comfort. I walked for quite some time with no issues. I can actually say that about the joan boot and 5 other pairs i have from Labucq. 😊If you’re looking for timeless designs and comfort, this is your last stop.

Beautiful, Tall, and Lightweight Amy J |
I’m 5’9” and always hunting for boots that are tall enough. My feet are narrow, my arches are high, and my calves are muscular/slim. I have a long torso, so other 5" 9" ladies probably have longer shins :) I tend to have trouble with pull-on boots at arches, but I could get these on. They fit over my calves, though they're slim at the widest point. They were a bit too tall (drats!), so they hit my upper leg when I bent my knee. The beautiful leather is rigid. They’re so lovely I considered keeping them for walking days with little sitting, but ultimately, even though they're so cool looking, they didn’t flatter my leg. The top opening/calf is fairly narrow, and the ankle is wide to pull on, so with the base of my knees covered, my leg became a straight pole from the thigh to the foot, so I returned. They almost worked! They would be gorgeous on someone with very long, very thin legs. They have a light feel due to the foam sole, not the usual heavier feel of a knee-high boot with a leather sole. They weren't cushiony but still comfortable.

GORGEOUS, didn't fit :( Amanda Kitada |
Oh how I wish that the calves of these boots were 1/4 inch wider! They are absolutely stunning, and the sole/bed of the shoe fit like a dream and was so comfy. I so badly wanted them to work for me, but without a slightly wider calf circumference it was not going to be a comfortable wearing experience.

Love them Jocelyn Armstrong |
These boots fit perfectly and were comfortable on my first test drive. I used the measurements provided to determine my size. They are tall and they are wide at the top but look cool that way. Classic and cool 😎

Not for short people Natalie Breuel |
I really wanted these to work for me. They are beautiful. But they are just too tall. I’m 5’2 and these hit just below my kneecaps. They hit the back of my knees when I bend my legs and are just uncomfortable. Other reviewers have pointed out that there are no zippers to get them on, this wasn’t a problem for me but I could see how it could be for others. If they came out with a version of these that were like 1-2 inches shorter for short people, I would buy them again in a heartbeat. But otherwise steer clear unless you are tall.

Gorgeous Boots Alice |
These boots are gorgeous! If you are considering them, the most important thing to pay attention to is that they are quite tall. I am 5'8" and if they were any taller I would not be able to bend my knee in them. This caused me to pause for a minute when I tried them on since I have never worn rigid boots that are this high. Since I have not worn them beyond trying them on yet, I can't comment on the comfort factor. The other thing to consider is whether the'll fit your calves. I I took a risk when I pre-ordered them since no circumference was listed (or if it was, I couldn't find it). I have average sized calves. If you have more robust calves it would be worth confirming the size of the top of the boot in your size so you don't get disappointed since once you see them in person you are really going to want them to fit based on how beautiful and well made they are. They are beautiful and unique but also a more specific vs. versatile option. Fun fact: they come in the largest shoe box I've ever seen.

Beautiful Boots ND |
I am six feet tall. These boots come to the bottom of my knee. Be aware they do not have a zipper and absolutely no elastic at the top. Either they fit your calf or they don’t, there is no adjustability. The leather is shiny and stunning in the brown color. The length is true to size and the arch is comfortable. I am keeping them because they are beautiful. I’m not sure I have room for jeans tucked inside, but they will look great with skirts. |
