I bought these after reading the reviews about how they are so comfortable. I don't think they are! They feel nice when you try them on and walk around the house, but aren't really suited for a full day of walking in NYC (I learned this the hard way) They look really great, but IMO aren't worth it. I never reach for them since they aren't comfortable enough. | |

I got my boots 8 days ago. I've worn them every single day since. They're beautiful out of the box, well made and comfortable. While they're good right away, they're even better as they break in. The 70s retro look is fab and their shaft height is perfect for all of my pant lengths (which are many because I'm tall.) Finally, I've had no foot pain or a single blister. I'm going to wear them every day this week too. They will be a wardrobe staple. | |

These shoes are gorgeous! The leather is top quality and thick. I have been wearing them for close to a year now, and they have a few scratches here and there but have held up well. I am removing one star because I had to get the shoes resoled--the bottom of the boots had zero traction and I was slipping every time the ground was even slightly wet. | |

These boots are exactly what (I didn’t know) I needed. They fit like a glove, the light brown suede is gorgeous, and the slightly retro 70s style is just unbelievably chic. I had to go out and get some NEW clothes (mini skirts!) to rock with these to do them justice. | |

Excellent customer service. Fast shipping to Canada. The boots are even more beautiful than I expected. They were super comfortable right out of the gate, no break in required. I walked for hours in them. I ordered my usual size and it was perfect - more than enough room to wear a pair of thin socks. No rubbing at the heel. They also go with everything!! I have purchased MANY boots in my life and these are absolutely fabulous. Worth the $! I was worried because I do consider my calves to be on the larger side for the average calf, however, they fit perfectly with the right amount of room to spare. Not only extremely stylish/classy they seem very comfortable…I have not walked long distances in them yet but they already feel just right/broken in! Very happy customer! | |

Have been thinking about getting these for a long, long time and finally did. I can’t say enough good things - the fit and quality are fantastic and they look even better in person. I am usually an 8.5-9 and ordered a 39 based on the size chart, it fit perfectly. Additionally the customer support team was amazing and so helpful with shipping them. The quality of these boots and the team at Labucq are well worth the price, I can’t wait to wear them for years to come. | |

I saw an ad for the Janis boot on IG and it looked like the type of boot I’ve been looking for over the past year. I wanted something classic yet unique, well-made, and practical (low heel). This hits all of the marks for me. I especially love the way they look with shorts/dresses - gives the outfit an edgy allure. I can’t speak on the long-term comfort since I haven’t actually worn them out yet. However, they seem to be quite comfortable. Shipping was quick too. Overall, I am pleased. It is pricey but quality over quantity is the goal. | |

I had been foaming at the mouth for these boots and finally caved after getting off the waitlist. The color of them is less "spotty," for lack of better terms, in the worn-looking areas. They're a lighter black leather. The buckle and zipper are light silver but not shiny. I have medium-skinny legs but they're a little bigger than what I think looks best around the leg. They're also a little flatter-looking than a classic bootie with heel. Overall, decided to keep because they're very universal and classic. ALSO I am a 7. sometimes 7.5, and was between buying a 7 or 8. I have some room in the size 7s, but a 6 would be too small. | |

Every winter I go on the hunt for the perfect boot and every year I come up short. The criteria seem reasonable: preferably a lower heel but not flat, more of a square toe than round or pointy, quality materials, slim around the calf, beautiful to look at, and ones that can be worn all day without causing aches and pains. Unfortunately, most boots are made for easy mass production and don’t take into account the importance of harmonizing the fundamentals of fit, comfort and aesthetics. Until now. The Janis Boot hits every criterion and more. I stare at them in amazement and can’t believe they’re mine. They are gorgeous; it’s like art for my feet. The materials are exceptional and they fit like a glove. I was nervous about selecting the right size – some suggested buying a size up – but I wear an 8 US and I bought an 8 (38). When pulled them out of the box they looked small, but when I stepped into them it was as if they were made for me. Absolutely perfect. I can’t say enough good things about these boots. I appreciate the creativity, energy and attention to detail that go into Labucq’s shoes and it feels good to support such an artist. Looking forward to trying others in the collection! | |

I had a couple of questions about shipping and merchant was responsive and helpful. I’m in a band and wanted them to gig in, hoped they were as comfy as I imagined, and much yo my delight, they are! Had a 3 1/2 hour show plus setup and load out, and my feet felt like I had been wearing house shoes. Extremely well made, beautiful, and comfortable. Can’t get much better than that! | |

Love everything about these boots. Color, heel size, comfort, the side buckle, and the zipper up the back all make it a perfect boot. I am a true size 6 and that’s what I ordered. They are a great fit and they do not slip off my heel which I have issues with both shoes and boots. I’m going to order the George Loafer in camel next. | |

At this point in my life I refuse to sacrifice comfort for the sake of fashion, but luckily I can have both with these boots. They accommodate my wider feet which is always a struggle for me. The heel is low enough for easy walking, but high enough to dress up an outfit. I have average sized, slightly muscular calves and the size 40s fit just fine with a finger’s room to spare. Definitely a splurge but was worth it for me personally. | |

Love these boots! Really appreciate Labucq’s attention to detail in the design and how well they were able get that “worn in” look. Additionally, these boots are super comfortable. I’ve already walked a couple of miles in them around the city and have not had to deal with any chafing or irritation. Would definitely recommend buying! |
