Beautiful shoes but disappointed in the fit. jenny |
I was so excited to receive the Stoner Mule, however, I do have narrow ankles which often presents a challenge for me with most shoes. I have two other pair of Labucq shoes (sandals) and it seems I am a bit between the 8-9. One pair of sandals has a velcro strap in the back which i can tighten up but the Atlas sandals (my favorite shoe) is a tiny bit loose even after having a cobbler add another hole to make them fit more snug. I deal with it because I love how they look. I promptly took my new pair of stoner mules to my cobbler to have another hole stamped in so that I could try and make the back strap tighter. He suggested making two holes which seemed logical but we soon realized that was an unfortunate decision in that there is some kind of elastic embedded i the heel of the shoe to keep the back strap tighter and we made a hole in it. Oy vey!! :( If you are like me and need them to fit more snugly in the ankle you can have 1 extra hole stamped in the back strap but not 2! It's been a bit too warm where I live to start wearing these shoes but I will try to live with the less than ideal fit. It is a truly beautiful shoe. | |

These shoes are amazing! I'm currently wearing them without socks and adjusted the back strap accordingly. I can see adding a thin sock when it gets colder and making the strap a bit looser. They are super comfortable right out of the box and make my small feet look longer! I'm a 5.5 and bought my standard Labucq size 36. |
